After years of uncertainty and a long gap between installments, The Night Manager has officially moved forward. The BBC spy thriller, led by Tom Hiddleston, has not only returned but expanded its story in a major way. With Season 2 underway, viewers are now looking ahead.

Has The Night Manager been canceled or renewed for Season 3?

The Night Manager isn’t going anywhere. In fact, the show landed a rare win, securing two more instalments at once. The BBC and Amazon confirmed Seasons 2 and 3 together, putting an end to cancellation rumors. According to Deadline, the move was part of a bigger creative plan, making sure the story gets a proper ending instead of being left hanging.

Season 3 is set to be the final chapter, wrapping things up as a trilogy inspired by John le Carré’s world. Tom Hiddleston himself confirmed the news, saying, “I can confirm that there will be a third season.” He also shared that the team always planned this as a 12-episode continuation. This is to give the characters more room to breathe and the story more depth than the original six-episode run.

Season 2 jumps ahead eight years from the original finale, but Season 3 builds directly on its ending. Director Georgi Banks-Davies confirmed that the third season is already moving forward, with creator David Farr writing the scripts. She shared that the plan was always a three-part story, each season standing on its own while still feeding into a bigger, connected narrative.

There’s no release date for Season 3 just yet, but Tom Hiddleston has eased fans’ nerves about another painfully long wait. During a TV appearance, he joked that he’s hoping the next chapter won’t take another decade to arrive. So, fans can rest assured that the gap after Season 2’s 2026 run should be much shorter.

Seasons 1 and 2 of The Night Manager are currently available to stream on BBC iPlayer, with Season 3 officially on the way.
