Has Netflix canceled The Bad Guys: The Series or renewed it for Season 3?

Netflix has not renewed The Bad Guys: The Series for Season 3 yet. However, the show has not been canceled either.

The second season of the animated series is released on Thursday, April 2, 2026. As of now, it hasn’t been confirmed whether the show will return with another season.

The Bad Guys: The Series is based on the 2022 film The Bad Guys, which in turn is loosely based on Aaron Blabey’s children’s graphic novel series of the same name. The show serves as a prequel to the original movie, similar to its two previous television specials, The Bad Guys: A Very Bad Holiday and The Bad Guys: Haunted Heist.

The Bad Guys: The Series follows the titular original gang before they became famous for committing high-profile crimes. The group started out as small-time crooks who were determined to make a name for themselves with daring heists. However, their bold antics soon attract some unwanted trouble.

The main voice cast of the series features Michael Godere as Mr. Wolf, Ezekiel Ajeigbe as Mr. Shark, and Raul Ceballos as Mr. Piranha. Further, Chris Diamantopoulos voices Mr. Snake, and Mallory Low lends her voice to Ms. Tarantula. Other notable voice cast members include Patton Oswalt, Zehra Fazal, Maria Bamford, and Keith Silverstein, to name a few.

The Bad Guys: The Series is produced by DreamWorks Animation Television. The debut season of the show premiered on Netflix in November 2025. It has a total of nine episodes.
