The movie earned a total of nine Oscar nominations that year, including Best Picture. At the ceremony, Robin Williams won Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his portrayal of Dr. Sean Maguire. Meanwhile, both Damon and Affleck took home the Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen award.
