The digital release date for Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die is being delayed for the best possible reason.
Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die is currently playing in United States theaters. Directed by Gore Verbinski, the sci-fi comedy movie stars Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, and more.
So far, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die has grossed approximately seven million dollars globally since its theatrical release on February 13, 2026. The movie is distributed by Briarcliff Entertainment.
Why is the digital release of Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die delayed?
The official Twitter account for Briarcliff Entertainment has now announced that, while there were plans to digitally release Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die in the near future, that notion is being put on the back burner for the time being following a decision to extend the film’s theatrical run.
“Thrilled to announce that due to your continued theatrical support, we are pushing back our planned Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die digital release date, and will keep this film as an exclusive theatrical,” the post reads. “Movies deserve to be seen on the big screen, especially this one.”
The official synopsis for the movie reads, “A man claiming to be from the future takes the patrons of an iconic Los Angeles diner hostage in search of unlikely recruits in a quest to save the world.”
The cast of the movie further includes Zazie Beetz, Asim Chaudhry, Tom Taylor, Juno Temple, Riccardo Drayton, Dino Fetscher, Anna Acton, and more. The script comes from Matthew Robinson.
Verbinski is best known for his work on Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, as he directed 2003’s Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, 2006’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, and 2007’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. His filmography also includes 1997’s Mouse Hunt, 2001’s The Mexican, 2002’s The Ring, 2005’s The Weather Man, 2011’s Range, 2013’s The Lone Ranger, and 2016’s A Cure for Wellness.
