Spoilers recap for what happened on General Hospital on January 16, 2026

Emma and Gio’s Concerns

Gio and Emma woke up after their intimate night. During breakfast, Emma confessed that she misses her grandmother, while Gio comforted her. He then spoke about returning to PCU and also about getting his own place. He admitted to not knowing where his future lies, but she believed that going back to school would help him understand that.

Anna Saw a Familiar Face

After waking up, Anna demanded a doctor who understands the severity of her condition. A person resembling Dr. Obrecht catered to her needs, which made Anna believe that Faison sent her. The woman stepped outside the room and reported to Pascal on Anna’s condition. He felt relieved that Anna thought that it was the actual Dr. Obrecht who was treating her, and prepared to make the next move.

Obrecht Advised Britt

Meanwhile, the real Obrecht was at the hospital, where she told Britt that she was happy to see her daughter become a doctor again. Obrecht suggested that she show support for Rocco at his hockey game, but Britt was worried it would upset Lulu. Obrecht refused to take no for an answer and persuaded her, saying that he was his mother, despite being just a surrogate. After a lot of back-and-forth, Britt finally agreed.

The Blame Game

Dante confronted Chase and blamed him for possibly manipulating evidence regarding Willow’s trial. Chase defended himself, but Dante didn’t buy any of it. They both declared to do the right thing.

Meanwhile, Nina showed up unannounced at Drew’s house to spend time with her daughter. While she waited for Willow to return, Nina told Drew that he didn’t need to take care of Willow anymore, as she would be taking care of her daughter. Drew believed otherwise.

Later, Michael met with Willow to discuss her meeting privileges with the children if she were convicted. But if the jury found her not guilty, he said that he wouldn’t allow the children anywhere near Drew.

The Verdict

Trina and Kai confronted Alexis about Willow’s case, frustrated that she could walk free. Alexis said that her job is to defend Willow, and also urged the two not to act until the verdict is revealed.

Later at the courthouse, everyone arrived one by one. As the session began, one of the jury members read the verdict, announcing that Willow was not guilty.
