The highly anticipated Record of Ragnarok Season 3 is now officially available for streaming on Netflix, more than two years after the second installment concluded its 15-episode run. The anime is based on the popular manga series written by Shinya Umemura and Takumi Fukui and illustrated by Azychika.
“Much time has passed since the explosive ending to the second season,” Fukui said in a statement (via Tudum). “Thanks to the support of our fans, the third season is finally here! I can’t wait for everyone to see the continuation of the battle between gods and humanity!”
What do we know about Netflix’s Record of Ragnarok Season 3?
The next chapter of Netflix’s Record of Ragnarok will center around three intense battles between the gods and humans. It will also feature the long-awaited introduction of fan-favorite character Nikola Tesla.
“The saga continues with 13 one-on-one battles for the survival of humanity, pitting gods against humans from across the world,” reads the new synopsis. “Witness the fateful seventh battle: the final fight to break the 3-3 tie between the gods and humans. Blood flows, and fists fly in these intense battles of strong convictions!”
The Season 3 voice cast includes Miyuki Sawashiro as Brünnhilde, Tomoyo Kurosawa as Göll, Wataru Takagi as Zeus, Junichi Suwabe as Hermes, Yukihiro Nozuyama as Heimdall, Sho Hayami as Odin, Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Shiva, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Loki, Hinata Tadokoro as Ares, Tsubasa Yonaga as Soji Okita, Ryotaro Okiayu as Hades, Kaito Ishikawa as Quin Shi Huang, Daisuke Namikawa as Beelzebub, Makoto Furukawa as Nikola Tesla, and Koji Ishii as the narrator. The new installment is now handled by a new team consisting of director Kōichi Hatsumi and writer Yasuyuki Mutō, along with character designers Yōko Tanabe and Hisashi Kawashima. It is a production by Yumeta Company and Maru Animation.
