With the new year, a host of fresh titles are also making their way into Amazon Prime Video’s already rich content library, including classic animated features like Jack Black’s hit 2024 film, Kung Fu Panda 4. A fan-favorite sequel that fits both aforementioned categories and also packs a plethora of comedic elements, it is on track to arrive on the renowned streaming platform next month.
Jack Black-led Kung Fu Panda 4 set to stream on Prime Video next month
Subscribers of Amazon Prime Video will soon be able to stream Kung Fu Panda 4 on their preferred devices.
Featuring the return of Jack Black as the chaotically funny yet joyously inspiring panda warrior, the fourth installment of the iconic DreamWorks Animation franchise will hit the Prime Video deck on January 9, 2026, according to ComicBook.com.
Having premiered in 2024, Kung Fu Panda 4 sees Black’s Po gear up to become the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace. As such, he needs to find a competent fighter to take his place as the legendary Dragon Warrior. However, when a seemingly invincible shape-shifting chameleon sets her evil plan to steal the Staff of Wisdom in motion, Po must join forces with an unlikely ally to stop the nefarious sorceress in her tracks.
Helmed by Mike Mitchell, the fourth entry in the Kung Fu Panda film series has a star-studded voice cast, featuring the likes of Awkwafina, Viola Davis, Dustin Hoffman, Bryan Cranston, James Hong, Ke Huy Quan, and Ian McShane, among others.
Despite securing a healthy 71 percent Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes, Kung Fu Panda 4 proved to be the weakest entry in the franchise, with all its predecessors recording a much better critic score on the review-aggregation website. However, it did fare well on the Popcormeter, garnering an 84 percent score from the audience.
Nevertheless, the movie still managed to enjoy a fruitful run at the global box office, garnering a worldwide collection of over $547.9 million, as per Box Office Mojo.
