The 2024 movie Kinds of Kindness, with Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons in the lead roles, will begin streaming on Hulu later this month. The film is an anthology comprised of three loosely interconnected stories exploring dark and twisted themes.
Kinds of Kindness to stream on Hulu in late February
Yorgos Lanthimos’s Kinds of Kindness now has a Hulu streaming release date. It will arrive on the streaming platform on Saturday, February 28, 2026, per TV Guide.
Lanthimos helmed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Efthimis Filippou. They previously collaborated on four projects, dating back to 2009. Their previous project was The Killing of a Sacred Deer in 2017. Lanthimos also reunited with Jerskin Fendrix for the film’s score, having collaborated together for Poor Things, which earned Fendrix his first Oscar nomination the previous year.
The movie features an impressive star cast that includes Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Yorgos Stefanakos, Mamoudou Athie, and Hong Chau, among others. This marked the third time Stone had worked with the director.
Kinds of Kindness is an anthology film that uses a triptych structure, featuring three loosely interconnected tales. While the cast was praised for their performances, the story ultimately failed to impress audiences. As a result, it currently has 71% Tomatometer score and 50% Popcornmeter on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2024. It later arrived in theaters on June 21, 2024. During its theatrical run, the movie earned just over $16 million worldwide, per Box Office Mojo.
In an interview with SiriusXM, it was revealed that the original title was R.M.F., which was later changed to “And.” Lanthimos ultimately changed it to “Kinds of Kindness.” While the cast admitted they did not like the second title, the director said he still likes it “conceptually.”
The official synopsis of the movie reads, “A triptych fable following a man without choice who tries to take control of his own life; a policeman who is alarmed that his wife who was missing-at-sea has returned and seems a different person; and a woman determined to find a specific someone with a special ability, who is destined to become a prodigious spiritual leader.”
