Viewers are curious to know whether Crime 101 features a mid-, post-, or end credits scene. Directed by Bart Layton, the crime-thriller movie follows Mike Davis, a jewel thief, who leaves the police confused through his consistent robberies along the 101 freeway. He soon collaborates with an insurance broker to conduct the biggest heist of his career. However, it won’t be easy given that Detective Lou Lubesnick sets his eyes on catching Mike after learning his crime pattern. With the movie having released recently, many want to know if they should stay back for an additional scene.
Is there a mid- or post-credits scene at the end of Crime 101?
There’s no mid-, post-, or end credits scene of Crime 101.
Typically, filmmakers add a bonus scene to either tease a sequel or to resolve existing plot queries. Some franchises like Marvel Studios also leverage post-credits to hint at a particular character’s return in future installments. In Crime 101’s case, the film doesn’t appear to have loose ends and seems self-contained. Moreover, there’s also no potential announcement for its sequel. The probability of a sequel happening entirely depends on how the movie performs at the box office.
In conversation with Deadline, director Layton addressed the mixed reception the movie received in the US. As with many viewers, the portrayal of the country’s youth didn’t sit well, but he did note that the film was particularly admired for one aspect. He said, “I’m not sure as many people saw it as I would have loved. But what was kind of surprising about that film was that I guess — certainly for actors — it was admired. And so, I guess they loved it enough to want to connect with me and work with me.” The movie is arriving in the theaters alongside Wuthering Heights and the animated movie, Goat, marking tough competition. It’s projected to make $15–17 million in its opening weekend.
The cast members include Chris Hemsworth as Mike Davis, Mark Ruffalo as Det. Lou Lubesnick, Barry Keoghan as Ormon, Halle Berry as Sharon Combs, Monica Barbaro as Maya, Corey Hawkins as Det. Tillman, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Angie, and Nick Nolte as Money, among others.
