AMC Networks has shared the official trailer for Dark Winds Season 4, the upcoming next installment of the highly-rated crime drama. Since its debut in 2022, it has maintained a perfect approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The show is set to return on Sunday, February 15, exclusively on AMC and AMC+.
“Season 4 focuses on the search for a missing Navajo girl, which takes Leaphorn, Chee, and Manuelito from the safety of the Navajo Nation to the gritty terrain of 1970s Los Angeles in a race against the clock to save her from an obsessive killer with ties to organized crime,” reads the show’s new synopsis.

What happens in the Dark Winds Season 4 trailer?
The video teases Joe and the rest of the Navajo Tribal Police’s next mystery case, which involves the disappearance of a teenage girl. The trailer highlights the team’s trip to Los Angeles, where they begin their search for the missing girl who becomes a serial killer’s latest target. The video also offers a glimpse at some of the interesting new characters that the team will meet during their investigation. The Season 4 cast will continue to be led by Zahn McClarnon (Westworld, Echo) as Joe Leaphorn, Kiowa Gordon (Roswell, New Mexico) as Jim Chee, Jessica Matten (Rez Ball) as Bernadette, and Deanna Allison (Accused) as Emma.
Dark Winds is created and executive produced by Graham Roland based on Tony Hillerman’s Leaphorn & Chee novel series. Season 4 will also introduce new characters portrayed by Franka Potente (The Bridge) as Irene Vaggan, Isabel DeRoy-Olson (Three Pines) as Billie Tsosie, Chaske Spencer (The English) as Sonny, Luke Barnett (For All Mankind) as Toby Shaw, and Titus Welliver (Bosch: Legacy) as Dominic McNair. McClarnon is also executive producing along with George R.R. Martin, Robert Redford, Anne Hillerman, Chris Eyre, Vince Gerardis, and Tina Elmo.
