Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 EP reveals Spider-Man’s status against AVTF
As Daredevil: Born Again moves closer to its second season, the expanding Anti-Vigilante Task Force storyline has sparked questions about how it may impact Spider-Man. Despite the character’s strong connection to New York, the show’s creative team has indicated that his role in this arc remains uncertain for now.
During a recent conversation with ScreenRant, showrunner Dario Scardapane and executive producer Sana Amanat addressed speculation about whether Spider-Man is Wilson Fisk’s target. Responding to the question, executive producer Amanat indicated that Spider-Man does not play a role in the storyline currently being developed. “I don’t know. I don’t think so. It would be great. Sure. I’d assume so, but that’s not the story that we’re telling,” she said.
The executive producer also noted that she is not aware of the narrative direction of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. She noted, “I have no idea what they’re doing in Spider-Man, honestly. I haven’t read anything yet.” Scardapane shared a similar view, noting that details related to Spider-Man’s storyline are not communicated to the television team.
Despite this, Marvel Studios continues to maintain coordination across its projects. Brad Winderbaum, Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, previously confirmed to EW that there is ongoing communication with the team behind Spider-Man: Brand New Day to ensure “that there’s coherence there.” He added, “We don’t want to spoil anything, but it very much exists in the same world and it is important.”
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is set to premiere on March 24, with Spider-Man: Brand New Day arriving in theaters on July 31.
