Running out of guesses in the December 9, 2025 (#912) edition of NYT Connections? We’re here to help you solve today’s puzzle with ease and add another day to your winning streak.

Connections is one of the most unique puzzles available on The New York Times Games collection. The objective of this online game is to create groups of four from an assortment of 16 different words. Players have only four guesses to find the hidden connections within the set and categorize the words accordingly. Furthermore, the game also provides a helpful “one away…” hint whenever a player chooses three out of the four correct words for a group.

Seasoned players often begin looking for the words in the yellow group first, as it is the easiest to figure out. Meanwhile, the purple is typically left for the end as it features the most difficult theme.

Yellow Group: This group features words related to taking something into account.
Green Group: The words in this group are related to animals with a common attribute.
Blue Group: This set features words associated with rainbows.
Purple Group: The collection features words whose first syllables sound similar to certain numbers.
