Cheryl Hines recently gave an update about her friendship with Larry David. The two shared the screen for years on Curb Your Enthusiasm, but later suffered a fallout from a political divide over Hines’ husband, the Department of Health and Human Services head, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The Primetime Emmy nominee gave an update about her friendship with her co-star and on-screen husband from Curb Your Enthusiasm.

During Cheryl Hines’ recent appearance on Billy Bush’s Hot Mics talk show, the host asked her about Larry David. “I think that relationship changed a little, hasn’t it?” questioned Bush. Hines paused before admitting, “I haven’t talked to him in a while.”

Bush proceeded to ask if they had not been in touch since the screening of the finale of their show in 2024. Hines replied, “Yeah, probably.” Moreover, the talk show host went on to reference her new book, Unscripted, and said, “I mean, he loved you from the beginning…You said, ‘This is the greatest audition and greatest moment of my life’ when you got this.”

Thinking about the positive feeling stemming from the show, the Bad Moms star said, “I love Larry, and I think Larry loves me.” She added, “I think it’s just politics, it makes conversations…” without concluding the sentence.

Curb Your Enthusiasm ran for 12 seasons, gaining immense acclaim in the process. Larry David plays a fictional version of himself on the show, while Cheryl Hines plays Cheryl David, the wife of the fictional Larry. Their characters get divorced in Season 8 of the show. Yet, the pair remains iconic in the history books of television.

However, some tension reportedly surfaced in their off-screen camaraderie due to Hines’ marriage to President Donald Trump’s controversial Department of Health and Human Services head, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. This is likely because David has been a vocal liberal for a long time.

Either way, it seems like Hines still harbors a lot of love for her former co-star.
