Curious to know the spoilers and recap for The Bold and the Beautiful for January 9? The latest episode kicks off with Steffy trying to make Taylor understand, very clearly, that Deacon is Sheila’s husband and that she needs to let him go. Elsewhere, Deke asks Deacon to end his marriage with Sheila and start a new chapter with someone sensible.
Later, Sheila, who has eavesdropped on Deke and Deacon’s conversation, takes Deke aside. She reveals that she overheard everything and insists that she is now a changed person, saying that whatever bad things she did are in the past. She wants to give her marriage another chance. Deke insists that her past actions cannot be forgotten. Sheila urges him to let their marriage be and declares that she loves Deacon deeply.
Spoilers for what happened on The Bold and the Beautiful on January 9, 2026
Carter Tries to Stop Daphne
Carter pleads with Daphne to stay with him, but she insists that her home and life are in Paris. He urges her to give their connection another chance, admitting how deeply he cares for her. Daphne explains that while she cannot walk away from everything she has built, she still dreams of having a family. However, she believes that kind of future is not possible for her and does not explain why. Carter confesses that he wants the same things and can only imagine that life with her.
Steffy’s Request to Hope
Steffy tells Hope that Taylor and Deacon have feelings for each other. Hope laughs at first, surprised by the idea of Taylor being interested in Deacon. While Hope likes the possibility that Deacon might leave Sheila, Steffy warns her that this could put Taylor in serious danger.
She reminds Hope of how unpredictable Sheila can be if she feels threatened. Hope agrees that Sheila could become dangerous if she finds out, and Steffy urges her to convince Deacon to stay away from Taylor.
Taylor and Deacon’s Concern Grows
Taylor tells Deacon that Steffy overheard their conversation and is clearly upset. She suggests that he find a new therapist and takes responsibility for crossing professional boundaries. Deacon insists that he would not have opened up to anyone else. Taylor becomes emotional as she reminds him that his wife is Sheila and warns him of the danger they could face if Sheila learns the truth.
Carter Proposes
Carter makes it clear that he wants a future with Daphne, while she admits that she wants children but not with someone who sees her as a replacement for Hope. As Daphne prepares to leave, Carter stops her and explains that he wants only her. When she turns around, she finds him holding an engagement ring. Carter then asks Daphne to be his wife.
Taylor and Deacon Draw Boundaries
As Steffy discusses with Hope the possible consequences of Sheila discovering Deacon and Taylor’s connection, Sheila has already sworn that no one will come between her and her marriage. Meanwhile, Deacon realizes how dangerous the situation could become if Sheila finds out.
He and Taylor reflect on how meaningful their sessions have been and agree to remain friends. When Taylor asks if he is happy in his marriage, Deacon admits that he is. He adds that maybe fairy tale love is not meant for them. Taylor suggests that perhaps they simply have not found theirs yet.
