Scrubs is officially returning for Season 10, marking the medical comedy’s first new season in 16 years. The long-running series, which originally aired from 2001 to 2010, has been revived with several core cast members set to reprise their roles.
Scrubs Season 10 debuts on ABC in February
More than a decade after Scrubs concluded its original run, the medical comedy is officially returning to television. ABC has confirmed that Scrubs Season 10 will premiere in February, with the revival bringing back several familiar faces while introducing new characters to Sacred Heart Hospital.
The network recently released a new promotional teaser featuring fresh video from the upcoming season. The preview highlights the return of J.D., Turk, and Elliot, played by Zach Braff, Donald Faison, and Sarah Chalke, as they walk through the halls of Sacred Heart Hospital once again.
According to the official logline, the revival follows J.D. and Turk as they work together again for the first time in years. Though the medical profession and its interns have evolved, “but their bromance has stood the test of time.” The logline reads, “Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart and some surprises along the way” (via TVLine).
Several original cast members are confirmed to appear in recurring roles. John C. McGinley will reprise his role as Dr. Perry Cox, while Judy Reyes returns as Carla Espinosa. Robert Maschio and Phill Lewis are also set to reappear as Todd and Hooch, respectively. In addition to the returning cast, Season 10 introduces several new characters portrayed by actors including Vanessa Bayer, Jacob Dudman, and Joel Kim Booster.
Scrubs originally aired from 2001 to 2010, first on NBC before moving to ABC for its final seasons. After years of discussion about a revival, the series was officially greenlit in 2025. Season 10 premieres Wednesday, February 25, at 8 p.m. on ABC, with episodes available to stream the following day on Hulu.
