Avengers: Endgame is returning to theaters ahead of Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame was released in United States theaters in 2019. A directed sequel to 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, the MCU movie is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, also known as the Russo Brothers. It is currently the second-highest-grossing movie of all time after James Cameron’s Avatar, as it made approximately $2.799 billion worldwide.
When does Avengers: Endgame return to theaters?
Per Deadline, Avengers: Endgame will be back in theaters on September 25, 2025.
While there’s been no word from Marvel on whether any kind of Avengers: Doomsday tease will be included with the Endgame re-release, many MCU fans are hoping that’s the case.
The synopsis for the 2019 movie reads, “The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.”
The cast includes Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Don Cheadle as James “Rhodey” Rhodes/War Machine, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira as Okoye, Benedict Wong as Wong, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket Raccoon, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, and Josh Brolin as Thanos.
Avengers: Doomsday will officially be released about three months after the Avengers: Endgame rerelease, as Doomsday is currently dated for December 18, 2026. That will be followed by a sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, that then arrives on December 17, 2027.
