DC Comics fans who love brutal and gory fighting sequences are in for a spectacle as the recently published Absolute Batman #14 features some of the hardest-hitting Bane vs. Batman scenes ever put to pages. In the latest issue of the comic book series written by Scott Snyder, the elseworld version of the Caped Crusader comes face-to-face with Bane, his toughest opponent, in the most savage manner yet.

Absolute Batman #14 highlights Bane and Batman’s most barbaric fight so far
Having made his Absolute Batman debut in the ninth issue, Bane has his final showdown with Bruce Wayne in the series’ fourteenth outing, which supposedly ends in the villain’s demise.
After tormenting Batman in every physical and psychological way imaginable, Bane forces the Dark Knight to contemplate consuming the ‘Venom’ drug that fuels the masked antagonist’s powers.
Batman initially resists the temptation and uses strategy to triumph over his most formidable foe, strength-wise. He begins by dropping an entire skyscraper on the bulging criminal before using his Batmobile to try to impale him.
However, Batman’s efforts have no lasting impact on Bane, who continues to inject Venom into himself, causing him to attain a mammoth-like size. The Dark Knight eventually manages to damage one of Bane’s eyes, but it fails to slow down the rampaging monster.
Batman finally gains an edge in his ferocious battle vs. Bane when his allies, including Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, and Catwoman, show up to assist him. He even succeeds in severing his opponent’s spine, only to see Bane heal himself with even more Venom.
Backed against a corner, Batman sees no other way of securing victory other than consuming the Venom drug himself. However, he once again showcases restraint and uses his intellect by instructing Catwoman to inject Bane with more Venom, which results in an overdose. Consequently, Bane is soon reduced to a mindless pile of flesh, causing him to lose the bout.
However, for those thinking #14 marked the end of Bane in the Absolute Batman universe, the final pages of the edition reveal that the super-strong villain, or whatever’s left of him, is now in possession of the Joker.
