Warner Bros. has announced that Ryan Coogler’s vampire movie Sinners and Paul Thomas Anderson’s action thriller One Battle After Another are heading back to IMAX theaters. Both films currently hold Certified Fresh scores on Rotten Tomatoes, with Sinners receiving a Tomatometer rating of 97%, and One Battle After Another receiving a Tomatometer score of 94%.
When will Sinners and One Battle After Another return to IMAX?
Starting on Friday, December 12, Sinners and One Battle After Another will officially return to select IMAX 70MM locations for special one-week engagements. It will be available in top markets across North America and the BFI IMAX in London. In addition, select IMAX theaters in North America are also set to offer early previews on Thursday, December 11.
Sinners was written, directed, and produced by Coogler. The ensemble cast included Michael B. Jordan as Smoke and Stack, Hailee Steinfeld as Mary, Jack O’Connell as Remmick, Miles Caton as Sammie Moore, Buddy Guy as Old Sammie, Jayme Lawson as Pearline, Wunmi Mosaku as Annie, Delroy Lindo as Delta Slim, Omar Benson Miller as Cornbread, Li Jun Li as Grace Chow, and more.
“Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back,” reads the Sinners film’s official synopsis.
One Battle After Another was written and directed by Anderson. The film starred Leonard DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Alana Haim, Teyana Taylor, Wood Harris, Benicio del Toro, D.W. Moffett, Chase Infiniti, John Hoogenakker, and more. It was produced by Anderson, Sara Murphy, and Adam Somner, with Jonny Greenwood providing the music.
