Two of NBC’s biggest television series are coming back for third seasons in the future.
What NBC shows were renewed for third seasons?
According to a new report from Variety, both Happy’s Place and St. Denis Medical have been renewed for third seasons. The shows, which are two of NBC’s biggest comedies, are connecting with fans, according to president of scripted content for NBC & Peacock Lisa Katz.
“Both St. Denis Medical and Happy’s Place have delivered comedic brilliance over their first two seasons, truly connecting with our audience with hilarious characters, and remain hugely important and successful programs to our primetime and Peacock lineup,” said Katz. “A huge thank you to the producers, casts and crews of both shows who have brought these wonderful stories to life and will now continue to tell their laugh-out-loud stories.”
Happy’s Place stars Reba McEntire, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castel, blanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn. The series follows the story of Bobbie McAllister (McEntire), a woman who inherits half-ownership of a bar from her father. The series first premiered in 2024, with its second season having just wrapped up on January 30, 2026. Happy’s Place comes from creators Kevin Abbott and Julie Abbott.
