Amazon Prime Video’s expansive slate is getting two Hercule Poirot additions in December 2025. Both films are a part of Kenneth Branagh‘s Poirot film series, based on Agatha Christie’s famous work. Along with these, Prime Video has several other exciting additions coming in next month.
A Haunting in Venice and Death on the Nile coming to Prime Video in December
Both A Haunting in Venice, which was released in 2023, and Death on the Nile, which made its theatrical debut in 2022, are coming to Prime Video on December 1, 2025.
The films are sequels to Murder on the Orient Express. Based on Agatha Christie novels and the famed character, Hercule Poirot, both films are directed by Kenneth Branagh and feature him in the leading role, exploring mysterious cases that may appear unsolvable to others.
Death on the Nile, based on the novel of the same name, follows Poirot’s vacation in Egypt aboard a glamorous river steamer. However, it soon turns into a search for a murderer on board after a couple’s honeymoon ends tragically. The film features Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Jennifer Saunders, Letitia Wright, Ali Fazal, Dawn French, Sophie Okonedo, Rose Leslie, and Emma Mackey.
A Haunting in Venice takes place when Poirot is living in a self-imposed exile in the Italian city. Also based on the novel of the same name, the film sees the detective thrust into a sinister world of mysteries when he attends a seance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. This film stars Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Michelle Yeoh, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, Kelly Reilly, and Riccardo Scamarcio.
Fans will be able to stream both movies on Prime Video from December 1 onwards, making these films more accessible.
Prime Video’s December slate further includes films like Mad Max (1980), Bullet Train, and The Phoenician Scheme (2025), among many others. (via ComicBook)
