The billion-dollar horror machine is heading to streaming. All 10 films from the long-running franchise will arrive on Netflix soon. The series, created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell, has earned more than $1.1 billion worldwide and remains one of horror’s most profitable brands.
All 10 Saw movies to stream on Netflix in March
All 10 films from the Saw franchise are coming to Netflix on March 19 (via What’s on Netflix). The saga kicks off with Saw. The 2004 thriller stars Cary Elwes and Leigh Whannell as two strangers chained up by the twisted Jigsaw killer. The film ran on a tight budget. It exploded into a surprise hit. It also set the tone for a franchise built on brutal moral games and jaw-dropping twists.
Saw II arrived in 2005. It cast Donnie Wahlberg as a desperate detective trying to save his son from one of Jigsaw’s deadly setups. Then came Saw III in 2006. That chapter dug into Jigsaw’s declining health. At the same time, new victims endured savage tests of survival. Saw IV and Saw V pushed the story further and expanded on Jigsaw’s warped ideology. They also introduced apprentices who kept his legacy alive after his death.
In Saw VI, Jigsaw locked a health insurance executive inside one of his moral death games. The story targeted corporate greed and forced brutal choices. Saw 3D: The Final Chapter arrived in 2010. It marketed itself as the big finale, delivering heavy gore and high body counts.
Years later, the franchise came back swinging with Jigsaw. That chapter questioned how John Kramer could be tied to fresh killings long after his death. The universe expanded again with Spiral: From the Book of Saw, led by Chris Rock. Then Saw X brought Tobin Bell back as John Kramer, giving fans more of the original mastermind.
Critics have gone back and forth on the series for years, but fans never stopped buying tickets. Many of the films kicked off with solid box office, especially when they opened during the spooky October window. Sure, some of the later chapters pulled mixed reviews and saw a bit of a money slowdown, but the franchise still powered past $1.1 billion worldwide.
