Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan has revealed her husband Yorick Piper was caught drink-driving on his way to a supermarket in Bendigo yesterday morning.
Piper blew a blood alcohol concentration of 0.05 per cent in a random breath test and was issued an on-the-spot fine and had his licence disqualified for three months from January 16.
Allan said her husband had been celebrating their son's birthday with family at a local pub the evening prior, before heading home around 8pm.

"I was shocked," Allan said.
"I was shocked yesterday when Yorick told me yesterday morning what had happened."
She said the alcohol had mixed with medication Piper takes for a health issue.
"As a result of the medication mixing with the alcohol from the night before, he simply shouldn't have been driving the following morning," Allan said.
"He understands that, I understand that and for this we are both truly sorry.
She said Piper was also involved in a minor collision prior to being stopped at the RBT, rear-ending another vehicle at the T-intersection of Spring Gully Road and Carpenter Street.
She said neither driver was injured and the pair exchanged details.
The couple have made a $1000 donation to Amber Community, a non-profit that provides support and information around road trauma.
"Drink driving is an incredibly serious issue and so is road trauma, we recognise that and I am truly sorry," Allan said.
