Teens accused of bullying girl, 13, in school bathroom face court

Three teenagers charged over an alleged bullying attack of a 13-year-old girl, recorded on mobile phones, have fronted court for the first time.

The 13-year-old student at Kingsgrove North High was subjected to a five-hour ordeal by a group of female students in the school yard and the boys' toilets of the school.

A Year 8 schoolgirl from Sydney's south has spoken out about a terrifying bullying incident which saw her punched and her head forced into a toilet.The 13-year-old student at Kingsgrove North was subjected to a five-hour bullying ordeal by a group of female students.

The alleged victim spoke exclusively with 9News earlier this week, revealing she thought she was going to die.

"I thought it was going to be like my last day ever on earth," she told 9News.

"Maybe this day is coming for me."

In court today, a 13-year-old pleaded not guilty, while a 14-year-old requested to have her case dealt with under the Mental Health Act.

A 15-year-old also revealed she will defend the charges.

Each of them was warned that they could end up receiving harsher punishment if they breached the AVO protecting their classmate and the alleged victim.

The mother of the injured teen and other students who reached out to 9News have slammed the school's handling of the incident.

They claim staff were aware of prior bullying incidents involving the same group but failed to act.

Education Minister Prue Car has demanded a review in the wake of the incident.

"I look forward to hearing what has happened so that we can learn from anything that has happened there," she said.

The three alleged bullies have so far only been suspended, however 9News understands expulsion remains a possibility.
