Four people - two teenagers, a man and a woman - escaped from the flames in Lawnton. They were all in a critical condition in hospital.

Neighbours told 9News those who made it out of the house were being splashed with water, in an attempt to cool their burns.

The four people who escaped were rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with serious burns and were still receiving treatment.
