A teacher in Sydney has been charged after allegedly asking for explicit material from a teenage girl in exchange for money.
Investigations began after police received a report that a 14-year-old girl had been communicating with the male teacher on social media, with the teacher allegedly trying to get the girl to send him sexually explicit material over the internet and over the phone.

This led to police searching a house in Sydney's north in a pre-dawn raid, where a 29-year-old man was arrested.
He was taken to Gladesville Police Station, where he was charged with using a carriage service to groom someone under 16-years-old for sex, and using a carriage service to access child abuse material.
He was refused bail to appear in court today.
Police say investigations are continuing.
