Police make illicit $2.1 million find at Sydney home

Four men have been charged and hundreds of kilograms of drugs have been seized.

Four men have been charged after police discovered $2.1 million worth of cannabis at a home in Sydney's south. 

Detectives under Strike Force Grassy began investigating the alleged supply of cannabis in the Sutherland Shire earlier this month, which led them to a home on Shirley Road in Miranda.

Police, including the public riot and dog squad, stormed the address on Tuesday.

Four men have been charged after police discovered $2.1 million worth of cannabis at a home in Sydney's south. 

There, they found about 240kg of cannabis and seven cannabis plants that had an estimated street value of $2.1 million.

Four men, aged 36, 41, 50 and 51, were arrested at the home and taken to Sutherland Police Station. 

Police searched a second home on Langer Avenue in Caringbah South and found four guns.

At a home on Robert Road in San Souci, they found another 3.3kg of cannabis, about $95,000 in cash and documents.

The four men were all charged with the enhanced indoor cultivation of cannabis for commercial purposes, supply prohibited drug - large commercial quantity, and participating in a criminal group contributing to criminal activity.

The 50-year-old man was also charged with possessing an unregistered pistol.

They were all refused bail in court yesterday and will face the Downing Centre Local Court on April 23. 

Strike Force Grassy investigations are continuing.
