An investigation into a shooting is under way after a man arrived at a medical clinic with a suspected gunshot wound on Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula.
The man presented with what appeared to be a gunshot injury at a doctor's office on Nelson Road in Point Lonsdale about 10.30am today.
The 37-year-old man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to the Alfred Hospital.

He is being treated for an upper body injury and remains in a critical condition.
Police then attended a property on Gill Road and arrested a 55-year-old man a short time later.
He will be interviewed by police over the alleged shooting.
No charges have been laid.

It is understood the two men are known to each other.
