Two people have had an incredible escape after their light plane crashed into a golf course, walking away with just minor injuries.
The plane was on a training flight when it ran into engine trouble over Sydney's northern beaches.
The single engine Piper Cherokee crash landed on Mona Vale Golf Course around 2.20pm today.

It was a shock for golfers on a busy afternoon on the course.
"So I turned around and we all had a look and it was coming straight over our heads," one golfer told 9News.
"And Nick who was playing with us, his dad's in aviation, so he said run.
"So we just ran towards the trees and we just watched the plane come down and you could see the wheels."
The pilot and his student, both in their 50s walked away largely unharmed.
Witnesses say they got out as golfers ran to help.

Chris Peck from NSW Ambulance said they only suffered a few cuts.
"The pilot and the trainee pilot had minor abrasions were coherent and [had a full] recollection of events."
The men had flown from Camden skirting around Sydney's west before heading north.
They lost power over Palm Beach and were told to head to Long Reef but couldn't make it.
The Piper Cherokee sustained serious damage and the reason for the crash is now one for air safety investigators.
The light plane will remain on the course overnight, with insurers to organise it's removal from tomorrow.
However, this could take a few days due to the hilly terrain around the site and fact that the ground's currently too wet for heavy machinery.
This means part of the golf course will remain closed for a few days.
