Investigation underway after man shot dead in Queensland

Police found a 43-year-old man with a gunshot wound on Dundas Street in Granville at 5.15am yesterday.

A homicide investigation is underway after a man was found dead with a gunshot wound in Queensland.

Police found a 43-year-old man with a gunshot wound on Dundas Street in Granville at 5.15 am yesterday.

The street runs parallel to the Mary River, with the man found near a boat ramp.

Emergency services began CPR upon arrival, however, he was declared dead shortly after.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.

Granville is located in the Fraser Coast region of Queensland.
