A popular toy for babies and toddlers sold at Kmart and Target stores has been recalled over fears it could serious injury or even death.
The Anko Pop and Surprise Playset was found to contain small screws which could separate from the toy and become a choking hazard, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) said in its product recall notice.
"Incidents have occurred," the notice said.
The toy, for children under three years of age, was sold in store and online between January 16, 2020 and November 7, 2025.
The recall includes two batch codes of the Vietnamese-made product - Kmart product code 42821427 and Target product code 69576577. The batch codes can be found on the bottom of the toy.
Customers with the toy are advised to stop using it immediately and keep it out of reach of children.
The toy can be returned to the store where it was bought and customers will be given a full refund.
