Pluribus star Rhea Seehorn, who earned Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice Awards nominations for Best Actress for her performance in the series, has recently teased what fans could expect from the Season 1 finale. In a new interview, the actress said that the finale would be like the first episode. She also expressed her love for the series and her desire for a second season.
Rhea Seehorn discusses Pluribus finale
While speaking to Deadline, Rhea Seehorn was asked what the Pluribus Season 1 finale would be like, how she reacted to it, and how viewers would respond.
“It’s bananas,” she replied. “The same as the first episode.” She added that she had the “same” reaction to all of the episodes, further stating, “I’m like, ‘What!?’ Then I’m like, ‘Holy crap. All right, let’s go.’”
The Better Call Saul star praised the scripts of the episodes, saying they “read so beautifully.” She said she realized while reading the scripts that Pluribus would be the type of show she “would love.” The actress also stated that she would be “obsessed” with the series even if she didn’t get to star in it.
“So it’s just been a huge reward to get to play it,” Seehorn further stated. “And to get to be kind of the audience’s access point in going down this rabbit hole.”
Seehorn then praised the Season 1 finale, saying she “loved” it and that after watching it, she “immediately” became desperate for a second season. The Emmy nominee addressed the second installment’s development.
She said that the creatives were “in the writers room” but that she hadn’t “asked any questions” about Season 2. Notably, Pluribus received a two-season order after being picked by Apple TV in 2022.
“I might just be surprised, right along with the audience,” she added. “I’ll play it before they’ll see it, but I might, I might wait. I don’t know.”
Pluribus has been nominated for Best Television Series – Drama at the Golden Globes and Best Drama Series at the Critics’ Choice Awards. The post apocalyptic sci-fi thriller series comes from Vince Gilligan, known for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.
Besides Seehorn, Pluribus also stars Karolina Wydra, Carlos-Manuel Vesga, and Miriam Shor, among others.
